We are delighted to announce that our Newsletter is published and you may register for the Spring Luncheon to be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the venerable Hotel 24 South in downtown Staunton, VA.
The hotel was built in 1924 and has been updated to offer modern comfort and hospitality. We are pleased to have our luncheon in this beautiful place and look forward to seeing everyone there. It will be a joy to experience spring in the mountains after this cold winter!

Dress code: Business attire, tie and jacket for gentlemen.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- 9:00 am – 11:00 am - Board of Assistants meeting, Blueridge Conference Room.
- 11:00 am – 1:00 pm – Registration, Pre-function Area
- 11:45 am – 12:45 pm – Reception, Shenandoah Room, there will be a cash bar, wine and beer, (cash only, no credit cards, ATM available), appetizers; fresh fruit and cheese, vegetable spring rolls, ginger scallion Swedish meatballs.
- 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Seated Luncheon
-Salad – Garden salad with choice of dressing, warm rolls and butter.
Entrée- the adult meal will be chicken piccata (prepared gluten-free), lightly battered chicken breast sauteed golden brown, topped with lemon caper butter sauce, chef’s choice of starch and seasonal vegetables, and chef’s choice of dessert. Beverages will be water, tea and coffee.
- Special menu options such as vegetarian, gluten-free, and food allergy accommodation, will be available. Please make sure these special menu needs are clearly identified when filling out the registration form. These meals require special attention and preparation by the chef.
- Child’s meal will be salad with choice of dressing, chicken fingers, French fries with chef’s choice of dessert.
The cost will be, including tax and service:
- Adult meal: $55
- Child’s meal: $30
The cost is a bit more than in the past due to rising food costs.
The American Shakespeare Center is near the hotel, should anyone wish to include a play during their weekend in Staunton. This will be a fun weekend!
